Top 5 Things To Do On Oahu, Hawaii
Hawaii has been very close to my heart ever since I got married there. I always enjoy planning my clients’ trips to the State of Aloha, especially Honeymoons, but also fun family adventures. Each trip I create is custom and unique to my clients. I work with each client individually to find out what they like, what they don’t like, and what their travel style is. Based on that I make appropriate recommendations.
However, some things apply to everyone or a big majority. For that reason I’m sharing my 5 top recommendations for tours/activities on the island of Oahu.
Let me know which once you’d like to do when you visit Hawaii, and if you are considering a visit to the islands, I would LOVE to assist with your travel plans.

1. Pearl Harbor
Visit to the Pearl Harbor Memorial is a must while on Oahu. The Memorial tours are free however advanced reservations are required. Reservations can be made here: https://www.recreation.gov/ticket/facility/233338 (processing fee may apply) 56 days before your visit.
2. Kaneone Sandbar
This big playground in the middle of the ocean was created over time when sand was naturally deposited unto the corral reef, creating this shallow area. You can take a boat or kayak to reach the sandbar. Your companies offer snorkeling and water toys to utilize while on the tour. It’s a great experience for the whole family.
The views of the coastline from the sandbar are incredible. Water level depends on the time of the year, day, but you can expect waist high waters if you’re average height.
3. Kuala Ranch
This 4,000+ acre cattle ranch has something to offer for everyone. Movie buffs will love the Movie tour (over 100 movies were filmed here). You can also zip line, ride an UTV, go horseback riding and so much more. You can do 1 tour or stay for the whole day.
4. Hanauma Bay
Hanauma Bay is a beautiful Nature Preserve that limits number of daily visitors. You can snorkel here, play in the sand and simply relax. Parking is limited, and entrance and parking fees apply.
This area is considered the best snorkeling location on the island.
5. North Shore/ Haleiwa
A visit to the North shore of Oahu is a must. You are transferred into a world of see turtles, surfers and beautiful nature. It’s a different world than the hustle and bustle of Honolulu. You will truly feel like you’re in Hawaii when you arrive here.
Surfing’s #1 activity here, and many companies offer classes for every level of experience. Sea Turtles are often spotted here, especially at Laniakea Beach. Snorkeling is popular at Sharks Cove, and lunch and shopping in Haleiwa should be on everyone’s agenda.
If you’re looking for waterfalls, take the short and easy hike to Waimea Falls where you can swim and enjoy lush surroundings.
