My Top Activities in Aruba

If you are like my husband and I, and can’t sit still while on vacation, Aruba will be a perfect destination for your next adventure! Don’t get me wrong, I love me some R’n’R, but when traveling with my hubby, I need to keep things happening, or he’ll get bored too fast, just sitting on the beach or by the pool. So when traveling, we always try to fit multiple activities in our schedule, and explore the destination.

During our recent trip to Aruba, we did some fun adventuring, and here is a list of my recommendations for your Aruba vacation:

  1. California Lighthouse
It’s a quick drive from Palm Beach area, and a must in my opinion. You can climb to the top of the lighthouse, or admire from the ground floor. I also recommend taking a walk through the surrounding dunes, where you will encounter countless lizards. The sounds of crushing waves do my soul good!
If you rent an ATV or another 4×4 vehicle, you can continue your drive along the shore and enjoy some rough terrain, and incredible views.

  2. Catamaran Sail
Whether you pick a snorkeling cruise, or a sunset booze cruise, sailing the Aruba waters should be on your to-do list for sure! We picked a sunset cruise (just because hubby doesn’t like snorkeling), and enjoyed some music, drinks, and beautiful views of the shore and setting sun.
If you like snorkeling, there are many options to choose from, and snorkeling the shipwrecks surrounding the island will offer some amazing experiences.

  3. Arikok National Park
This was probably my very favorite part of the trip! Remember to rent a 4×4 vehicle when heading to this direction, so that you can enter all areas of the park, like Natural Pool. In the park, you will find multiple areas to explore, including 2 caves. They offer a unique look at Aruba’s history, and some great photo ops.
After you visit Quadirikiri Cave, make sure to make your way down the path next to it to get a fish pedicure in their natural habitat! It’s a pretty neat experience!
You can find more information on the Arikok National Park here:

  4. Watersports
Water sports are abundant in Aruba, and every water enthusiast will find something for themselves. Aruba is very popular among kite-surfers/windsurfers. If that’s something you’d like to learn, it’s a perfect place to give it a try! There are multiple areas around the island where you can find schools/instructors who will teach you this fun sport.
There are of course snorkeling tours, boating adventures, jetskis, and even a submarine! You can find more options and details in the links below.

So there you have it! My top activities to do in Aruba! Feel free to explore more options in the 2 links below (affiliate links).
