  • Offline Maps

Prior to your trip departure, use Google’s Offline Maps feature to download maps of your destination in case of unreliable service/wi-fi, and to not drain your data.

  • Emergency Numbers

When traveling to a foreign country, check their emergency phone numbers and memorize them or enter them into your phone for quick and easy access if needed.

  • Follow Business Travelers

When going through security at the airport, look for business travelers and stand in line behind them. They travel often, and usually are super efficient in getting through the lines. Avoid lines with families, as everything takes longer with kids, and when you’re in a hurry, every minute counts. (Don’t come at me, I travel with my kids often, and I am a strong believer kiddos should be traveling. I’m simply stating a fact: security lines take longer with kids and all their stuff. And it’s ok!)

  • Wrapping Gifts

When traveling with gifts, make sure NOT to wrap them in paper. If anything looks suspicious to TSA, they will unwrap your gifts, and leave you with the clean up. Opt-in for gift bags, or wrap your presents in your destination.

  • Private Transportation

When traveling to many destinations throughout the Mexico and Caribbean, make sure to look at the cost difference between shared and a private shuttle. In many instances, the price for private transfer is about the same, and often even less, than shared transfers, when traveling in a group of 3+ people. With private shuttle, you go straight to your resort, and bypass multiple stops at other resorts, and waiting for other guests to arrive. I always recommend the private shuttle to my clients, even if it costs a little more. It’s worth the upgrade!
