11 tips for planning your trip to Los Cabos, Mexico

Los Cabos, Mexico is a very popular destination that offers breathtaking views, romantic experiences, and luxurious accommodations. It’s great for families, honeymooners, romantic getaways, family reunions, bachelor(ette) trips, adventure-seekers and more. Everyone will find something to do in Cabo.

During my recent trip to Cabos San Lucas, my favorite pastime was simply enjoying the beautiful views, and my favorite activity was a trip to the Lover’s Beach and El Arco, where we even got to see some whales!

I have put together this short list of tips and tricks to help you with planning your trip to Los Cabos, but don’t forget that I’m always available if you want your trip professionally planned.

  1. Plan your trip during the dry season from November to April to avoid rainy days. Temperatures may be a bit cooler during this time, so that’s perfect if you want to avoid the heat of summer.

  2. Bring sunscreen and a hat to protect yourself from the sun, which can be quite strong. Los Cabos gets on average about 350 days of sunshine a year. Protect yourself and avoid ruining your vacation with sunburn or worse.

  3. Learn some basic Spanish phrases to communicate with the locals. While English is widely spoken in the touristy areas, it’s never a bad idea to know few words or phrases in the local language.

  4. Try the local cuisine, including fresh seafood and Mexican street food. Authentic Mexican cuisine is a must in Cabo!

  5. Take a snorkeling or scuba diving tour to explore the marine life in the Sea of Cortez. There are lots of possibilities in Cabo. You can explore some tours and activities here:

  6. Visit the charming town of San Jose del Cabo for a taste of Mexican culture and history.

  7. Book your accommodations in advance, especially during peak season. Not only prices get higher the longer you wait, but also the availability gets slimmer. Cabo is a popular Mexican destination.

  8. Be aware of the local laws and customs, such as not drinking alcohol in public or on the beach, or not smoking in public places. It’s always a great idea to know basic laws wherever you go.

  9. Take a day trip to Cabo Pulmo National Park to see the only coral reef on the west coast of North America. Search for the reliable tour here:

  10. Enjoy the nightlife in Cabo San Lucas, but be safe and responsible. Always be aware of your surroundings, don’t leave drinks unattended, and stay with your group.

  11. Plan your trip with professional travel advisor who will be able to make personalized recommendations and has your best interest in mind. Travel advisor will make the planning process stress-free, and you can rest easy everything will be taken care of.
